Color Code your Planner
The first thing that comes to mind when I’m trying to get organized, whether it be for work or school is to get a planner.
You don’t have to spend tons of money (nothing against my Erin Condren fans) on a planner for it to work for you. The best places to purchase an affordable planner are at Target, Office Depot, Amazon, Wal-Mart, and surprisingly Home Goods. Color coding your planner can help you know what needs to get done faster. ex: use blue for things pertaining to work, red for things pertaining to school, and green for things pertaining to other errands. The colors will help you organize and process your tasks quicker!

Set Reminders on your phone
I used to be against putting anything important on my phone, I did not like having my whole life planned out on my phone (I’ve had several incidents where important files/meetings have been wiped clean from my device). But reminders on your phone can act as a valuable tool for those of us always on the go. I set reminders for myself for meetings, appointments and even a reminder to set an alarm for the meetings and appointments. I usually set reminders 1 day before the event is due.

Keep Your Living Space Clean
This sounds like a random thing to do to stay, but it is key for keeping your life uncluttered. If I come home to dishes in the sink, my bed not made, and laundry waiting to be folded, I immediately feel overwhelmed and disorganized. Keeping your living space in order will help you worry less about things you need to do and more focused on your priorities.

Make Lists
If you can’t tell already from a few of my blog posts I LOVE lists. I don’t think I would be able to get through life without lists. I get immediate gratification when I cross a chore or errand off a list.

Set short-term goals
Setting short-term goals can help you keep on track with tasks for the week. Goal setting can help procrastinating on important tasks. You can even set a long-term goal and use short-term goals to help you get to where you need to be!
I would love to hear what y’all do to stay on track, comment below!
Happy organizing folks!
